I have a PC with Windows 10 21H2, on which I login as a local user. I now want to use the Windows store, and download free apps, such as Netflix. Search and download apps for work, productivity, social networking, gaming and more from the Microsoft Store.

Windows 10 enterprise no microsoft store free.Upgrading to Windows 10 Pro from Home, got Enterprise that is not activated instead.

So this article is useless sorry. Its simple really grab a copy of Windows 10 Pro or up what ever version then grab an activator off gh with a front end that lets you select different operating systems to activate.

Thank you, but what I did is just downgrade back to Windows 10 Home without trying to mess things up even more.

In reply to Andre for Directly’s post on July 12, Thank you, but for now. I downgraded back to Windows 10 Home since I’m not comfortable trying to get Windows 10 Pro to work properly, but maybe I will install it again and this time, I’ll downgrade from Windows 10 Enterprise to Windows 10 Pro edition. Is it possible, I can upgrade Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro using the media creation tool instead? Once I change the values in the Registry Editor?

In reply to Xyz[]’s post on July 12, Thank you, I actually saw a Youtube video on that tutorial to go back to Windows 10 Home. It wasn’t too hard actually to figure out. I’ll have to re-install Windows 10 Pro even though it will go back to Windows 10 Enterprise, but now I know to downgrade back to Windows 10 Pro using that same method you just mentioned.

Mike, as I said this is due to nothing you did wrong. If you bought the Pro Upgrade then you are entitled to it.

You can try another method to apply the Upgrade to use the Pro license that you bought. No, if you want to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, use the diagnostics key. If you bought a Windows 10 Pro upgrade through the Store and it is attached to your Microsoft Account, it should automatically activate. Proceed to enter the key. You are welcome McMike14 Please let me know if you need any help along the way. Please also let me know how it works out when done.

– I can’t find or install an app from Microsoft Store

Of course it’s possible, since I just did it doing an install from scratch of 21H2 in a VM, having never previously logged on to a Microsoft account. Do I need to show you a video of the whole install to prove it?

I don’t need you to tell me it’s impossible. I already know it’s possible. What I need is help doing the same on my bare metal install, where I previously logged on to a Microsoft account. Dave, it’s still perfectly possible to do on a fresh install of Windows 10 21H2, which was just released last month.

It is perfectly possible to do a full install of Win10 21H2, use a local account, and use the Microsoft store to download Netflix, without ever signing in to a Microsoft account. You can see the full video of me doing that in a Virtualbox VM here. The link below is just to the last.

Even after installing all the latest OS updates through Windows updates inside of that VM, including all optional updates, the MS store still functions perfectly fine without a Microsoft account. All I’m asking is for the procedure to do the same thing, on the same release of Windows, Win10 21H2, without having to do a full install of Windows from scratch as I did in this video. This is something that I’m sure is a possibility, but obviously some keys have to be cleaned in the registry – to eliminate previous remnants of the Microsoft account – keys that aren’t fully cleaned up by running WSRESET.

EXE, but should be. In other words, a bug. Details required : characters remaining Cancel Submit 5 people found this reply helpful. Dave is right. You can no longer use Store without an account, plus it must not be a work or a school account. You clearly haven’t read the thread or watched the video I did of installing 21H2 from scratch above.

No problem at all with the Microsoft Store, even with the latest OS updates. Whatever update to the store might be coming has not come to 21H2 yet. Have you checked if that exact device is visible in account. If so, remove it and also run a Disk Cleanup in your device, before restarting and trying to take the same actions that you have already. I also saw that you got a solution in TenForums, unsure if the issue arose again or something. I’ll wait for your reply! Don’t worry, everything will be okay : Note: This is a non-Microsoft website.

Yes, I checked. There are no devices at all showing in account. As far as the response I got in TenForums, it worked on one machine, but not on another.
